Aloof and Arrogant

Angela asked with a wondering look. “What is it?”

“Your suspension isn‘t a bad thing. Leave Gloria alone and set a trap first.”

Angela was confused. “What kind of trap?”

Claude replied in a deep voice, “Go home and ask your mother.”

Angela wrinkled her brows. “You‘re being mysterious. Fine, I‘ll go home.”

Gloria returned to her office.

Everyone gave a puzzled look at her. Unable to hold back, Sheila asked, “Gloria, what kind of meeting
did you have?”

Gloria chuckled with composure. “I can‘t disclose it now. You have to wait for a few days.”

Sheila nodded in understanding. “That‘s alright since it‘s confidential, but I have a feeling that you‘re
closer to success.”

Gloria smiled and said, “I hope so.”

Her words were meaningful.

Everyone seemed to sense something.

So, Sheila is correct?

Is it about Gloria?



Are they talking about the partnership with the Brown Group?

Could it be the main subject of their meeting?

People looked at her with admiration.

Next, Gloria was going to take care of the two remaining clients.

Working with Jonathan was one side of the coin. To get closer to the top, she had to convince everyone

She had got enough information and headed straight to a café

With her mask on, she sat in the lobby.

The others only took her for a beautiful lady playing with her phone.

About 20 minutes later, a well–proportioned woman came into the café. Her hair was short, and she
was wearing a pair of sunglasses. At a glance, people could tell that she was a shrewd and
unapproachable businesswoman.

In fact, their previous meetings had been held in this café.

Gloria had done her research and believed her target would appear at this time of the day.

It was not easy to meet this lady.

As she headed toward a booth, Gloria didn‘t rush over. Instead, she waited in her seat, finished her
coffee, and ordered another cup.

Before she could have another sip, a man was seen coming out with a sullen look.

Gloria‘s eyes swiveled.

This man had entered the booth ahead of that lady. Gloria could imagine the taunting scene.

This was not surprising given Kristina Hayes‘ sharp tongue, lofty character, and keen eyes. Her
patience didn‘t stand for her tolerance. She never wasted time on unimportant things.

As the lady came out and walked past her, Gloria raised her eyes and whispered, “Ms. Hayes, wait.”
